TRIMUI Brick Series Comparison

Which TRIMUI Brick is right for you?

The TRIMUI Brick series brings that classic vertical Game Boy vibe to modern retro gaming, with sharp screens, solid emulation, and pocket-friendly designs.

Right now in January 2026, you have two released options—the original TRIMUI Brick (plastic body) and the premium Brick Hammer (full metal)—plus the exciting Brick Pro "Coming Soon". The Pro adds dual analog sticks, a larger 4-inch screen, and potential upgrades like better performance (possibly PS2-level emulation) and even Android OS hints from leaks and community buzz.

Should you buy now or wait for TRIMUI Brick Pro?

1. TRIMUI Brick Handheld Console→Budget-Friendly, Portable and First-Time Retro Gamer

  • Why it fits you: Super affordable, tiny enough to disappear in your pocket or bag—perfect for quick plays during commutes, breaks, or travel. The bright screen and lightweight design make it feel like a modern Game Boy Pocket upgrade. Great entry point if you're just getting into emulation and want to play Mario, Zelda, Pokémon, or Street Fighter without spending much.
  • Real-world fit: Ideal if portability is your top priority and you don't need analog sticks yet.

2. TRIMUI Brick Hammer→Premium Feel, Durability, Everyday Carry or Gift

  • Why it fits you: The all-metal aluminum shell gives it that satisfying, high-end weight and cool touch—feels way more premium than the price suggests. Same great emulation performance as the standard Brick, but with better heat dissipation (stays cooler during long PS1 sessions) and nicer build quality. RGB accents and upgraded speakers add extra flair.
  • Real-world fit: Perfect if you want something that feels like a collectible or can handle drops/travel better. Many users call it the "best EDC handheld" for its balance of size and luxury.

3. 3D Games, Bigger Screen, Future-Proof Power → Wait for the Brick Pro

  • Why it fits you: TRIMUI just teased this as the "ultimate vertical handheld" with dual analog sticks (zero dead zone, precision-calibrated) and a bigger 4-inch display—finally making 3D titles (N64, Dreamcast, potentially PS2) feel natural instead of D-pad awkward. Stronger hardware (maybe PS2 demos like God of War 2 running smoothly) and possibly Android for extra flexibility. It's the evolution everyone’s been asking for.
  • Real-world fit: If you love deeper emulation (PS2, PSP, GameCube ports) or want a one-device solution that bridges retro and a bit more modern play, this could be your favorite. The larger size sacrifices a tiny bit of pocketability but gains huge comfort for longer sessions.

The Brick series nails that nostalgic feel with zero hassle. If you're itching to play right now, the Hammer offers the best overall experience today. But if you can hold off a few months, the Pro looks like it could be the standout of the lineup. Which type of games are you most excited about—2D classics or jumping into 3D eras? Very excited about 4" size. So so perfect. Hope the quality of the screen is as good as they gave us with the brick. Hope the fan is quiet. No fan on the brick has been nice but PS2 performance will mean hotter chip.
