How to Install KNULLI on TRIMUI Handheld Consoles (Step-by-Step)
If you are looking to unlock the full potential of your TRIMUI handheld, installing KNULLI is the way to go. KNULLI is a high-performance custom firmware (CFW) built on a fork of Batocera. It offers a sleek user interface, support for beautiful themes, and the convenience of Over-the-Air (OTA) updates.
In this guide, we will walk you through the entire installation process and show you how to manage your game library like a pro.
1.Preparation & Requirements
Before you begin, ensure you have the following:
A TRIMUI Handheld: Ensure your device is at least 50% charged to avoid power failure during the flash.
MicroSD (TF) Card: A high-quality card is recommended to prevent system lag or boot failures.
KNULLI Firmware: Download the specific image for your device model from the KNULLI GitHub Releases.
Flashing Tool: Download Rufus (available at rufus.ie) to write the image to your card.
Warning: Flashing will erase all data on your TF card. Please back up your files before proceeding.

2.Flashing the KNULLI Firmware
- Download the Files: Get the correct KNULLI firmware and the Rufus tool onto your PC.
- Flash the Card: Insert your TF card into your computer. Open Rufus, select your TF card as the target, and choose the KNULLI firmware image. Click Start to write the system to the card.
-
Initial Boot: Ensure your TRIMUI is completely powered off (long-press the Power button).
- Insert the flashed TF card into the device.
- Hold the Power button. Once the KNULLI logo appears, you can release the button and let the system initialize.
3.How to Add Games(ROMS) to KNULLI
KNULLI provides two main methods for adding games to your library:
Method 1: Windows Network Sharing (SMB)
This is the most convenient method as it doesn't require removing the SD card, though it is best for smaller files like GBA or NES games.
- Step 1: In the KNULLI system settings, enable the SAMBA service.
- Step 2: Connect your device to your local Wi-Fi and note down its IP address from the Network Settings.
-
Step 3: On your Windows PC, open File Explorer and type your IP address into the address bar (e.g.,
\\192.168.x.xx\share). - Step 4: Drag and drop your ROMs into the appropriate folders.
Method 2: Direct TF Card Transfer
For large games (PS1, PSP, etc.), a direct transfer is much faster.
- Step 1: Power off the device and plug the TF card into your PC via a card reader.
- Step 2: Locate the SHARE partition. Do not modify the BATOCERA partition, as this contains the system files.
- Step 3: Open the roms folder and place your games in the corresponding emulator subfolders.
By following these steps, your TRIMUI console will be running one of the most aesthetic and powerful firmware options available today. Happy gaming!
