TRIMUI Birick Hammer Backplate Replacement Tutorial

I. Preparations

1. Two screwdrivers are required: a T3 Torx screwdriver and a P00 Phillips screwdriver.
2. Ensure the device is completely powered off.
3. A sponge pad or soft mat is needed.
   

II. Replacement Steps

1. Place the device face-down on the sponge pad with the back facing upwards to prevent scratching the screen while unscrewing.
2. Use the T3 Torx screwdriver to remove the 6 screws on the back. The bottom case will become slightly loose. Grip both sides of the backplate firmly with both hands and lift it upwards in a parallel motion. Exercise caution to avoid pulling the device's flex cables.
3. After separating the bottom case, use the P00 Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws on the backplate. Take off the backplate to be replaced, place the back buttons on the new backplate, ensure the back buttons are fully attached to the button board, and then fasten the screws.
4. After replacing the backplate, align and close the front and rear cases of the device, making sure all the clips are properly engaged. Then tighten the screws on the back. The backplate replacement is now complete.

III. Installation Verification

1. Power on the device and check if the shoulder buttons rebound normally.
2. Check if the backplate and bottom case are loose.

IV. Troubleshooting

1. Shoulder buttons fail to rebound normally: The shoulder buttons were not placed on the button board during replacement. Disassemble the backplate again for inspection.
2. Loose backplate or bottom case: Check if all screws are fully tightened.

V. Notes

1. Tighten the screws moderately to avoid stripping the screw threads.
2. Lift the bottom case slowly and steadily.
3. If significant resistance is encountered, stop immediately and inspect the device.
